The
Cycling Manifesto of Matt Talley |
|
1. Name your ride. 2. Lust over thy neighbor’s bike and don’t let your wife or girlfriend make you feel bad for it. 3. Have impure thoughts when you see a sweet bike. Take pictures with your cell phone so that you can have alone time later. 4. There is no such number as “too many bikes.” 5. If you have to go to the store/bar/work - bike there. 6. Life is a race, ride accordingly. 7. Do not wave at other riders on the street or bike trail. They are possible competition. 8. Always help another cyclist in need – give them you last tube, patch, water, etc - Karma has a two-wheeled mistress... 9. Your u-lock is a multi-purpose tool. 10. Take care of your bike, wash her, wipe her down, oil her, and don’t let strangers ride her. 11. Enforce your right of full use of the lane. 12. Make drivers wish they were on a bike. |
